Staff Scientist - Contract - Wilmington, DE
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Staff Scientist to join a dynamic research team focused on preclinical studies in the field of immuno-oncology.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will involve hands-on execution of biological assays and contributing to the development of high-quality therapeutics aimed at addressing inflammatory diseases. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care through innovative research.
Skills & Requirements:
- Degree in Biology or a related field, with a background in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology.
- Experience in a research or laboratory setting, with skills in molecular and cellular technologies such as RT-PCR, WB, cell culture, and ELISA.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Passion for delivering quality medicines and fostering a collaborative scientific environment.
- Preferred experience in human immunology and/or industry experience, as well as familiarity with multiplex protein and RNA-based technologies.
The Staff Scientist's responsibilities will be:
- Conduct biologically relevant assays to explore mechanistic biology related to inflammatory diseases.
- Utilize scientific expertise to support ongoing research activities.
- Generate, review, and discuss complex data sets to drive discovery programs forward.
- Demonstrate proficiency in cellular and molecular laboratory techniques using advanced technologies.
- Maintain accurate records of all data generated.
- Communicate results and their implications effectively to supervisors and peers.
- Collaborate within a high-performing team while developing independent scientific skills.
