Staff Scientist - Contract - Wilmington, DE
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Staff Scientist specializing in Protein Purification to join our client's team.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting early-stage discovery programs by purifying and qualifying antibody samples. Your work will involve routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and meticulous record-keeping in electronic notebooks.
Skills & Requirements:
- Advanced degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related life sciences field.
- Proficiency in protein purification techniques.
- Experience with liquid handling automation is advantageous.
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
- Adaptable and enthusiastic in a dynamic biotech environment.
The Staff Scientist's responsibilities will be:
- Plan, perform, analyze, and document laboratory experiments.
- Prepare cell supernatants and purify antibody samples.
- Conduct buffer exchange, quality control, and normalization of purified samples.
- Troubleshoot and optimize purification workflows for enhanced efficiency.
- Maintain laboratory instruments and manage supplies.
