Procom is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Application Patch Analyst to join our client's IT team. This position focuses on supporting application upgrade and patching processes to ensure compliance with IT policies. The role will involve coordination, documentation, and reporting on patching activities while working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), application owners, and support staff.
Application Patch Analyst Job Details
- Distribute patches for company-owned assets, including servers, operating systems, and third-party software.
- Report on patch distribution status and compliance levels to management.
- Coordinate with SMEs and application owners to evaluate and implement patches in a timely manner.
- Track and document patching processes, ensuring compliance with internal control policies.
- Utilize automated tools to assess patches and report statuses.
- Manage patching activities within the configuration management process while respecting operational constraints.
- Escalate risks to IT management when deadlines are at risk or mitigation extensions occur.
- Plan and implement process improvement initiatives using process modeling and flowcharting.
- Assist with system outage root cause analysis and create special reports as required.
