Project Scheduling Coordinator - Job Description:
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Project Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The Project Scheduling Coordinator will support the PMO planning function and will be responsible for aligning, managing, and optimizing the master project schedule, resource and capacity management ensuring the successful and timely completion of projects, and proficient communication to all project stakeholders.
Project Scheduling Coordinator - Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, including timelines, and resource management.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to align schedules and resources.
• Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain up-to-date records of project activities, resources, and progress.
• Track and resolve issues related to resource allocation, timing, and project dependencies.
• Ensure that project schedules are realistic and achievable by allocating resources efficiently.
• Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential delays and adjusting the schedule as necessary.
• Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on schedule status and progress.
• Prepare and deliver reports on schedule performance, including forecasts and risk management plans.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve scheduling conflicts and resource shortages.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential scheduling issues and propose corrective actions.
• Use project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, etc.) to develop and manage schedules.
Project Scheduling Coordinator - Mandatory Skills:
• Proven experience (5-7 years) in project scheduling, project management, or related roles.
• Proficiency in scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera P6, etc.).
• Strong understanding of project management processes and methodologies.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks and issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Project Scheduling Coordinator – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with resource and capacity management.
• Familiarity with risk management plans.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments.
• Knowledge of cross-functional team coordination.
• Experience in preparing and delivering schedule performance reports.
