Java Developer:
On behalf of our Technology client, Procom is searching for a Java Developer/ C13 equivalent for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Jersey City office.
Java Developer - Job Description:
This development position is responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to build robust, high-performance, large-scale applications.
Java Developer - Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain web technologies including HTML, CSS, and React JS.
• Design and implement REST-APIs and backend systems using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Participate in Agile software development processes with a focus on test-driven development.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and utilize tools such as JIRA, BlackDuck, and SONAR.
• Develop sophisticated tooling for development and production team use.
• Operate with some level of direct supervision.
Java Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• 7 years of experience as a full-stack developer designing and developing applications.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java Core and concurrent programming.
• Proficiency with the Spring Framework, including Core, Integration, Batch, JDBC, and Hibernate.
• Experience with cloud computing technologies, containers, and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with databases such as Spark, RDBMS (preferably Oracle), and NoSQL (preferably MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Linux environment and scripting skills.
• Experience with SDLC/DevOps tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, and JIRA.
Java Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with secure coding toolkits.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
