Job Description
The Point-of-Sale employee is primarily responsible for performing pharmacy support activities under the supervision of a
pharmacist.
This position reports directly to the Order Entry Manager.
1. High School Diploma
2. General pharmacy experience preferred, but not required

Essential Job Functions
1. Demonstrates an awareness of the responsibility of his/her position under the law, within the pharmacy, and as
it relates to the pharmacy’s practice of compounding, including all state and national laws, regulations, and
standards.
2. Knowledgeable in and follows applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
3. Very strong in customer service skills through verbal, written, and face-to-face communication.
4. Understands importance of patient, client, and provider relationships and maintains them to the fullest potential.
5. Performs pharmacy support activities—return to stock, customer service, prescriptions files, shipping, etc.
6. Maintains proper workflow in conjunction with compounding technicians.
7. Effectively communicates delivery times, shipping schedules, etc. to patients and providers.
8. Assists compounding Pharmacist in proper management of time on pending prescriptions (i.e. makes them aware of
“red” baskets or STAT deliveries).
9. Demonstrates the ability to look up notes/call logs and communicate the information to the patient.
10. Proficient at taking and entering patient demographics, allergy/medication lists, etc.
11. Coordinates deliveries and shipments.
12. Effectively communicates with patients and providers and refers them to the appropriate supervisor when warranted.
13. Demonstrates very strong computer and mathematical computation skills.
14. Demonstrates the ability to read and understand prescription forms.
15. Demonstrates proficiency with software systems.
16. Performs a final check before prescription orders are given to shipping or delivery.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
