Project Managers are responsible for delivering assigned construction projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements. To be successful, these individuals must be competent in all areas of project management. They will effectively lead, manage, and delegate task to direct reports and collaborate with other team members as necessary. This position will report to the Director of Project Management. All employees are expected to adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the Procon Employee Handbook and Corporate Safety Manual and behave in manner that aligns with Procon’s Values.
General Job Duties and Responsibilities:
GENERAL PROJECT ADMINISTRATION
- AP
- Review and approve invoices
- AR
- Create and submit project billings
- Assist with collections as needed
- Payroll
- Review and approve time card entries
- COI’s
- Site specific plans
COMMUNICATION
- Communicate effectively with project team members
DOCUMENTATION
- Document pertinent project information
MEETINGS
- Schedule and conduct internal project meetings
- Attend client project meetings
CONTRACT
- Review & understand contract documents
- Ensure work performed is in accordance with contract documents
DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Review and understand project drawings and specification
- Ensure latest drawings and specifications are obtained and distributed to team members
BUDGET
- Review project estimate
- Create project budget
- Maintain project budget
- Create monthly cost to complete budgets
- Create and manage production tracking
- Generate and execute change orders
SCHEDULE
- Review and understand overall project schedule
- Create project milestone schedule for our work
- Create and update sequence plans
- Assist with creation and updating of look ahead schedules
- Ensure that all trades are on schedule and that any revisions are updated and documented as necessary
PROCUREMENT
- Select project vendors and issues PO’s
- Select sub-contractors and issue sub-contracts
SUBMITTALS
- Obtain, create, submit, gain approval, and distribute relevant product data information
- Obtain, review, submit, gain approval, and distribute relevant shop drawings
RFI
- Generate, submit, obtain requested info, and distribute RFI’s
OTHER
- Other items assigned by supervisor
- Coordinate all aspects of construction project
General Competencies and Skills:
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required
- Three or more years of construction experience is required
- The ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English is required; the ability to speak Spanish is preferred
- Advanced computer skills are required
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Apple is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred
- Experience with Bluebeam is preferred
- Experience with Procore is preferred
- Experience with Foundation is preferred
