Job Description
PROCON LLC, the Northeast’s largest design-build commercial construction firm, with in-house architectural design, mechanical, structural engineering & construction management is growing and looking to hire an Electrical Design Engineer.
The Electrical Design Engineer will interact daily with a fully integrated team of architects, engineers, construction project managers, estimators, and developers. You will be responsible for the design/drafting of electrical systems, installation details, layout and sizing from conceptual design through construction administration and warranty issue troubleshooting. The candidate should be proficient with electrical service requirements, distribution sizing, panel schedules, and circuiting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise documentation in various project phases including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details in Revit.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (Structural, Mechanical, Architecture) to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
- Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to requests for information, and prepares site observation reports
- Support project team in developing design documentation, plans, and reports for project design elements.
- Assist in the selection of electrical systems and materials.
- Attend project coordination meetings with project team members.
- Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
- Implement sustainable design principles.
