The Intellectual Property Litigation group at Procopio is growing, and we’re looking for a talented Mid to Senior Level Associate to join our dynamic team! With this role being located at any of our offices (Orange County, San Diego, Scottsdale, Silicon Valley, Washington DC), this is a fantastic chance to take your career to the next level at one of the nation’s most respected law firms.
At Procopio, you’ll get substantial client interaction, professional development opportunities, and hands-on involvement in a thriving practice. If you have 5-8 years of experience (minimum of 4 years required) in patent litigation in the life sciences industry we’d love to hear from you. The role covers all aspects of litigation, from pre-trial to post-trial, including:
- Drafting pleadings
- Managing discovery and resolving disputes
- Crafting and arguing motions
- Claim construction
- Assisting in trials and appeals
- Overall case management
What We’re Looking For:
- State Bar Admission is required
- Experience with pharmaceutical patent litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act, medical device, chemical, etc.
- Proven ability to handle discovery, manage complex cases, and work effectively in a team
- Experience in both Federal district court and IPR proceedings
- Undergraduate degree in life sciences discipline, such as biology, chemistry, or chemical engineering.
- Strong attention to detail, solid judgment, and proactive work style
- Strong research sills (legal and factual) and strong writing skills
