What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Associate position at ProCraft Cabinetry?
Summary of Position:
The Inventory Associate will be responsible for all inventory tasks within the organization. This person will maintain records of all warehouse inventory, produce inventory reports for the inventory manager on a regular basis, ensure that warehouse inventory matches product availability in the company system, and keep all stock organized and replenished, as necessary. Inventory Associates are organized and will also evaluate the current practices of the company and implement new techniques to improve efficiency.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and put away inventory.
- Verify quantity of items received against purchase order, sales order or/and packing list.
- Change item locations to accommodate spacing and incoming inventory.
- Perform physical inventory cycle counts on a regular basis.
- Accurately document movement of backordered items received.
- Support customer service and sales departments by locating product components as needed.
- Assist pickers with order filling.
- Ensure clean warehouse area.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Great attention to detail.
- Communicate in a professional, concise manner.
- Thorough understanding of standard business practices.
- Problem-solving in a rapid environment.
- Familiarity with cabinet fabrication and terminology
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or greater.
- Prior experience with warehouse equipment such as forklift, cherry picker and pallet jacks. (Training will be provided!)
- Familiarity with cabinet fabrication and terminology is a plus.
