What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Product Manager/Owner Band 2 position at Procter & Gamble?
Your scope of responsibilities will begin with PGP Salesforce, and will expand to other PGP digital products over time.
Product Management team holds responsibility for the ultimate success of the product. Is accountable for understanding what clients and users want, setting the product strategy and roadmap, and guiding a cross-functional team as part of the product development process and full product lifecycle to ensure that the product delights clients/users and maximizes the economic value delivery to the business. To deliver products at scale, organizations break down product management work into two roles, the product manager and the product owner. Both roles are important to the overall success of a product, have a distinct responsibility split and must work closely together to build products that users love.
Qualifications
- The ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-functional team is a must and you can expect to grow further in requirements gathering, analysis and scoping sprints in this role
- Directing development resources (could be P&G IT resources, or contractor resources) will be key to success in this role
- Willingness to go deep on product knowledge (functional and non-functional design, architecture, technical choices and how those influence TCO)
- Knowledge on Agile / Scrum framework is nice to have (and you can expect to grow further in this area in this role)
- Familiarity of User Experience best practices and artifacts is nice to have (and you can expect to grow further in this area in this role)
- Familiarity with IT security basic concepts is nice to have (and you can expect to grow further in this area in this role)
- Salesforce experience and/or certification(s) is nice to have (and you can expect to grow further in this area in this role)
- DevOps foundations knowledge (processes and roles, CICD toolset, testing automation, version control) is nice to have (and you can expect to grow further in this area in this role)
