2024-2025 School Year and Summer 2025
Duties and responsibilities include: Under the direction of the Youth Enrichment
coordinator, the Summer Program Aide will play a crucial role in supporting the Summer
Recreation Specialist Intern in the implementation of engaging programming at both district and
off-site locations. This position involves supervising small & large groups of children, fostering
social-emotional skills, and promoting a positive learning environment. The Program Aide will
assist the Summer Rec Specialist and Youth Coordinator uphold program policies and ensure child safety and well-being. With a focus on exemplifying professionalism and effectivecommunication, the Program Aide will actively engage children in various educational activities and serve as a vital link in addressing concerns related to parents, children, or staff.
Minimum Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to work independently, pass a MN background check, have a valid MN driver’s license, and be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications: Working towards a bachelor’s degree in a field related to youth enrichment, development, park and recreation, or K-12 education.
