Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and CI/CD methodologies. This role requires working onsite five days a week and involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM.

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines to enhance the development and deployment processes.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing mainframe applications to ensure optimal performance.

• Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Provide support for production environments and assist in resolving technical issues.

• Maintain documentation for application changes, enhancements, and configurations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5 years of experience in mainframe development.

• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM.

• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes for mainframe applications.

• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving mainframe application issues.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in banking, financial services, or insurance domains.

• Knowledge of DB2, REXX, and other mainframe-related technologies.

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
