What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Network Engineer position at Procyon TS?
Ensure smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for the usersPrincipal Accountabilities :
- Create network designs (eg LLDs, HLDs) Analyse network elements and requirements Schedule and plan network changes
- Responsible for complex network provisioning, backbone network support, activation of high end network elements Manage configurations of LAN / WAN / VLAN devices and ensure availability of network Troubleshooting as and when required
- Perform alarm co relation to troubleshoot issues in addition to alarm management Use knowledge repository for possible resolution
- Review current network statistics Highlight optimization areas and prepare solutions Implement optimization / capacity management scenarios and benchmarking
- Participate in network hardening (patches, IOS checks, etc) Verify that configurations are as per approved standards Check and verify OS for network elements
- Proactive involvement to keep quality parameters (SLA / KPIs) under target Contribute to tools and automation for error free environment
- Maintain project reports and critical documents Update configurations and tickets regularly as they are handled
- Document methods and procedures for future reference Contribute to Knowledge Management by documenting methods and procedures for future reference
