Prodjex, a Kansas City-based web and software development company, is seeking an Office Manager to bring structure to our growing onshore team. We need a proactive leader to manage our in-office operations, enforce schedules, and drive performance—while supporting our CEO with key administrative tasks. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations for our in-office staff, ensuring 8 AM - 5 PM schedules (e.g., track arrivals, departures, WFH limits).
- Enforce PTO policies (2-week notice) and manage requests via Gusto, our payroll/HR platform.
- Meet with employees to understand roles, create KPIs (e.g., hours worked, tasks completed), and conduct biweekly performance reviews.
- Maintain office presence, including Friday lunch oversight (no early exits unless logged).
- Use Gusto to monitor time tracking, approve payroll, and streamline HR processes.
- Support CEO with administrative tasks—e.g., scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, managing calendar—to keep leadership focused on growth.
- Report to the CEO, flagging issues (e.g., late starts, policy breaches) and suggesting fixes.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role, with office management or team coordination experience, ideally in tech or small business settings.
- Tech-savvy—comfortable with Gusto, Slack, or similar tools (experience a plus).
- Process-oriented—able to set and enforce rules (e.g., PTO, schedules) without micromanaging.
- Strong communication—firm yet fair, with skills to review performance and hold staff accountable.
- Organized and adaptable—capable of juggling team oversight and light CEO support.
- Based in Liberty, MO—full-time in-office role (8 AM - 5 PM, Mon-Fri).
- Bonus: Experience with hybrid teams, KPI development, or executive assistance.
