Overview
Position is responsible for the timely and accurate posting of daily cash receipts to customer accounts. Coordinates activities with other cash posting specialist, working with the accounting and sales functions to provide accurate and actionable information, and work alongside fellow AR team members where needed to successfully accomplish our goals.
Responsibilities
- Utilize basic accounting terminology and practices in clearing credit memos and posting new deductions to the account according to GAAP.
- Responsible for reconciling and balancing posted transactions to batch totals, preparing deposits and remittance files in a computerized environment.
- Provide backup for Credit Entry Analyst as needed
- Assist with collection and deduction issues when needed
- Assist with month end and year end closing activities
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to internal and external customer inquires and resolving any issues related to cash application and credit entry.
- Assist team members by providing the necessary documentation to support cash posting.
- In coordination with Credit Manager and Supervisor, develop and maintain performance metrics and reviews progress and resolution of issues on a regular basis.
- Prepare refund requests and aid collectors on resolution of un-applied cash left on the account.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and promote accuracy.
- Work with our Third Party, Billtrust, in resolving any issues affecting cash flow.
- Assist AR Supervisor with yearly audit. Pulling documentation and reports as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required:
Post High School courses or equivalent work experience
Team player with great attention to detail
