A top vertically integrated food company in the fresh produce industry has an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and detail-oriented Sales Planning & Analytics Manager to join their team and support their growth and profitability goals.
The Sales Planning & Analytics Manager will lead and manage Sales Planning / Forecasting. The role will provide market analysis to identify trends and patterns in the industry to help the company improve their sales business performance. This individual will play a key role in supporting the company's overall sales planning process. The role reports to the Senior VP Strategy and Business Development, working closely on initiatives that will maximize results across all channels and to critical company goals. The position will identify and implement new processes and methods to help the Sales Team operate efficiently and effectively, as well as enable optimal decision making. The expectation is that this team member will utilize their experience, intellectual curiosity, and passion, to be successful in the role by fostering both a disciplined approach and collaborative environment to drive exemplary results.
This role leader will utilize business acumen with an in-depth knowledge of Sales Planning and an understanding of the role they play across multiple teams (Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain). The ideal candidate needs to be a critical thinker and have extensive technical and project ownership experience. Must be an initiative-taker, flexible thinker, and outstanding communicator who is comfortable learning quickly and connecting the dots by using exceptional analytical and people skills. Must have the ability to synthesize information across disparate data sources and turn into clear and actionable insights. Team management and development will be key as we evolve the department and overarching business. The position requires excellent communication skills, collaboration and partnership work styles, strategic thinking, along with execution and drive to achieve business-critical goals and objectives.
Areas of Focus :
1. Sales Demand Planning
a.Manage annual and perpetual sales demand planning process.
b.Participate in the perpetual planning team and responsible for providing the sales demand data.
2.Market Analysis :
a.Oversee the process for gathering and delivering industry insights and analysis.
b.Stay updated on industry trends and developments.
c.Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in industry data
3.Sales Analysis and Reporting :
a.Establish and manage internal sales analysis reporting activities
b.Provide insights and report decks to support sales team efforts in customer business reviews and new customer prospecting.
c.Ensure data is maintained to measure and analyze sales metrics for KPI tracking.
d.Prepare and present sales performance reports and recommendations to senior management.
4.Collaboration :
a.Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and other departments to support profitability reporting, continual SKU rationalization, and costing evaluation.
b.Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide analytical support.
c.Manage the analysis and distribution of internal and external data to cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Production, Marketing, Procurement, CREATE / NPD).
5.Training and Support :
a.Provide training and support to the sales team on data analysis tools and techniques.
b.Assist with the implementation and adoption of new analytics tools and software.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field required or
- 5 years of experience in sales analysis, sales operations, financial evaluation and demand forecasting or a similar analytical role.
- Proven track record of working with large datasets, financial modeling, and forecasting.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Knowledge of sales methodologies and pipeline management.
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data and insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making without direct authority.
- Capacity to contribute to strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
- Experience in Agriculture, Fresh Produce or Manufacturing industries a plus.
- Familiarity with financial analysis and P&L management.
- May need to be available outside normal working hours should issues arise.
The base salary that can be reasonably expected to pay for this role is : $98,000 - $115,000 / year. The actual salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's skills and experience. Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or cash bonuses the position may be eligible for based on role and / or employment type.
