What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Manager position at Produce Packaging, Inc.?
THIS IS A THIRD SHIFT POSITION
We process and pack a large amount of fresh produce for high-end and discount chain stores, as well as food service and manufacturing accounts. We are looking for a 3RD SHIFT production/sanitation manager (approx. start time around 4pm). As such, you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage some production activities of 2nd shift, and all sanitation activities of our third shift, which is composed of about 20 personnel.
- Assign people to various production and sanitation duties
- Assure that our customers' orders are produced in a quality, timely, and efficient fashion
- Insure that production lines are running efficiently, and make modifications/improvements as required
- Evaluate employees on a regular basis, and discipline when required
- Assure that inventory is used according to plan, and that only high-quality products are produced from it
- Assure that all equipment and production spaces are clean and sanitized post-production, and ready to go for the next day's crew.
Skills needed/Other requirements:
- At least 3 years successful leadership experience in the food manufacturing industry
- HACCP/food safety expertise
- 5-day/wk. schedule comprising roughly 45-50 hours
- Must be able to work in a 40 degree cooler
