Fertilizer Warehouse Worker

Role and Responsibilities

• Work with and under the supervision of the Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager and Supervisors to run an efficient, clean and organized warehouse
• Accurately load warehouse products onto customer vehicles
• Work with the customers in a friendly and courteous manner
• Work with loaders and operators to quickly and accurately blend and load outgoing trucks and fertilizer spreaders
• Work as needed on the bag fertilizer production line, filling and stacking bags on pallets
• Perform daily checks and maintenance on all equipment used
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Unload incoming bulk fertilizer shipments from truck and rail cars
• Attend monthly and weekly safety training meetings
• Work in a safe, efficient manner and notify supervisors of any potential unsafe conditions
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School or Equivalent

Preferred Skills

• Ability to be on your feet for long duration's of the day and safely move 50 lbs from ground to waist height
• Attention to detail
• Ability to read and follow label instructions regarding personal protective equipment
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Good problem solving skills
• Legible handwriting
• Able to work alone without constant supervision

Additional Notes

• Applicants must be reliable and on time.
• Seasonal shifts will be assigned as needed ( Early shift or Late Shift )
• Uniform shirts will be provided
• Safety shoes and long pants must be worn at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Rotating weekends
