What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Selector position at Producers Dairy Foods Inc?
Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for:
- Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.
- Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.
- Maintaining accuracy in picking orders.
- Maintaining proper product rotation. Checking all codes and stock in area.
- Maintaining a clean workstation at all times, including cardboard boxes.
- Getting empty cases for building of by-products.
- Getting tags for identifying stacks for loading.
- Taking all leakers to the reprocess area. Notifying Supervisor and/or Filler Operator if the leakers are coming from the plant.
- Maintaining appropriate dress and personal appearance standards.
- Knowing, understanding and adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Promoting and maintaining Company goodwill in all areas. Assisting others and performing other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 or more years of experience in a cold storage environment.
- Must be humble, approachable, and honest, yet able to lead and hold other accountable.
- Must be flexible and able to work any shift.
- Demonstrate good judgment, and problem solving and decision-making skills as well as being an organized record keeper.
- Must be a trustworthy self-starter who can work independently and deliver accurate, timely results.
- Must be able to stand/stoop and bend and be on your feet for long periods and lift or drag up to 100 pounds.
Hourly Rate: $21.90 - $25.03
