What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Merchandiser position at Producers Dairy Foods Inc?
Essential Functions:
- Drive to and from various customers as assigned.
- Operate a personal vehicle safely while keeping an eye out for traffic, buildings, and pedestrians.
- Stock shelves and take an accurate inventory
- Merchandise store shelving, coolers and displays with Producers Dairy Foods products in accounts assigned by the Sales Manager
- Eliminate out-of-stocks and out of date product through effective order taking
- Maintain inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory
- Maintain store shelves and storage cooler by rotating product, removing out of date product, cleaning and facing shelves
- Maintain customer relationships by visiting with store managers, store dairy department managers and store employees; answer their questions, respond to special requests and sell Producers Dairy Foods product
- Utilize Producers Dairy Foods Point-of-Sale materials and promotions
- Complete required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
- Receive messages verbally or through email. Have the ability to convey the message to the appropriate individual.
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills, and able to follow directions
- Able to work well independently
- Effectively and professionally interconnect with all levels and departments of the Company, its customers and vendors to achieve goals.
- Must be well organized and detail oriented, be able to set priorities and take the initiative to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on-time
- Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task
- Must be dependable and responsible
- Ability to work flexible work schedule, including some holidays
- Prefer 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
