What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Lead position at Producers Dairy Foods Inc?
Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for:
- Properly cleans and sanitizes all equipment used in the handling, processing, packaging, and storing of all products, raw, and pasteurized.
- Covers all electrical panels when cleaning around them.
- Cleans the exterior of all tanks, lines, floors, walls and ceiling on a daily basis.
- Ensures all hook-ups are made correctly prior to C.I.P.
- Report any unsafe areas or accidents to a supervisor immediately.
- Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.
- Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
- Always maintains housekeeping in all areas of responsibility.
- Leads employees to maintain an effective safety program.
- Knows, understands, adheres, and enforces all company policies, GMP’s and procedures.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are an essential function of this position.
- Checks chemical titration strengths daily and notes results on C.I.P. charts on a daily basis
- Reports any equipment or other problems to the supervisor and make use of maintenance work orders as needed
- Changes all air blows on pasteurized side on a daily basis
- Inspect all QMI ports in Raw and pasteurized Silo rooms and replace them as needed.
- Fills out all C.I.P. charts with complete and accurate information as required by Company, State, and Federal rules and regulations.
- Maintains appropriate dress and personal appearance standards. Knows, understands and adheres to all company policies and procedures. Follow all GMP’s.
- Promotes and maintains company goodwill in all areas.
- Assists others and performs other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary.
- Helps maintain the positive image of the company in the trade.
- Wears proper safety equipment: rubber gloves, safety glasses or face mask and apron.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively with coworkers and management.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Able to work all shifts and days.
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or GED
Hourly Range: $24.10 - $26.78
