SUMMARY
The Pipeline Compliance Specialist is responsible for implementing DOT and other related regulatory programs to ensure compliance of gas and liquid pipelines that fall under CFR 191, 192, and 195 regulations.
The Pipeline Compliance Specialist is responsible for implementing DOT and other related regulatory programs to ensure compliance of gas and liquid pipelines that fall under CFR 191, 192, and 195 regulations.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the
following:
- Adhere to field pipeline safety compliance inspections that fall under CFR 191,
atmospheric corrosion inspections, ESD & PSV testing, class surveys, and monitoring HCA areas.
- Liaison Program. Attend pipeline safety events, safety days, and trade shows.
- Call ticket management program.
- Aide in company and governmental agency audits.
- Assist with review and editing of company manuals.
- Report compliance breaches and exposures to management.
- Coordinate PSV (Pipeline Safety Valve) testing and record results
- Collect internal compliance data and enter in company databases.
- Prepare annual and quarterly or as needed compliance reports for management.
- Assist with other pipeline operational duties as needed by operations.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required and other duties as
assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
- Federal, state and local regulatory requirements at a general level. This includes
- OSHA, EPA, PHMSA, PSM, and DOT regulations.
- Working knowledge of API and ASME Standards
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Ability to:
- Effectively handle multiple tasks and stay focused on details.
- Think analytically and problem solve.
- Work in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Handle changing priorities and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Maintain effective working relationships.
EXPERIENCE and TRAINING GUIDELINES
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of progressive experience in the operation of NGL and
- Experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably within the natural gas
