We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who will have impact across the organization. This person will support our group of ambitious and talented systems, mechanical, robotics and software engineers in the development of novel new products and systems from early concept to pre-production design. This role involves defining the electrical architecture for new electromechanical systems, identifying components, PCB & harness design & documentation, prototype assembly & evaluation and coordinating and checking the work of outside electrical resources.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop electrical and electronic elements of mechatronic systems in the 10W – 2kW range.
- System architecture
- Device selection including power supplies, motors & drivers, sensors, processors
- Cable and wire harness design
- PCB design and layout
- Technical documentation
- Follow a robust technical development process; review and approve work of other engineers.
- Coordinate and review PCB designs created by external contractors
- Prototype assembly and troubleshooting including root cause analysis reports
- Demonstrate a passion for continuous learning and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Employ creative problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.
- Effectively communicate ideas and concepts, delivering compelling presentations to internal and external customers.
