Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement process for materials and supplies necessary for operations.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Utilize supply chain management systems, including Oracle EBS and MRP, to track inventory levels and manage orders.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality service and reliability.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with materials management to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Stay updated on industry trends related to e-commerce and supply chain practices.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role within supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of materials management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and their impact on procurement processes is a plus.
- Proficient in using purchasing systems such as Oracle EBS or similar ERP software.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on market research.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
