Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the physical condition of our facility, ensuring all equipment and systems are operational, and performing repairs and preventive maintenance as needed.
- Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct inspections of the facility's infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and ensure timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions and system failures.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and health standards.
- Assist with facility setup, including moving furniture or equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certification or vocational training in building maintenance or related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role is essential.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) is necessary.
- The ability to operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment is required.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are crucial.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify issues early are vital.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once is necessary.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and practices is required.
- The ability to lift and move heavy equipment when necessary is essential.
Working Conditions:
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
