Production Castings is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to be responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the facility, ensuring all equipment and systems are operational, and performing repairs and preventive maintenance as needed. The technician will be skilled in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct inspections of the facility’s infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and ensure timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions and system failures.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and health standards.
- Assist with facility setup, including moving furniture or equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in building maintenance or related fields preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Ability to operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues early.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and practices.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when necessary.
