Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Industrial Estimator to join our growing team. This role is critical in supporting our projects from the bid phase through completion, helping us win work and stay competitive in the pipe fabrication and industrial construction space.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for industrial construction and fabrication projects
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to define scope and estimate requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and shop supervisors to gather technical details
- Analyze project documents to identify potential risks, gaps, or inconsistencies
- Use estimating software (e.g., BluBeam, Excel) to develop detailed proposals and cost breakdowns
- Solicit and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and trade partners for accurate pricing
- Track project budgets and provide cost updates during the project lifecycle
- Assist in preparing contract documents and support contract negotiations as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an estimator in construction, industrial, or fabrication-related fields
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and industrial piping systems
- Proficient in estimating tools (BluBeam, Excel); AutoCAD familiarity is a plus
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans and documents
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and organized with the ability to manage multiple bids at once
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
