Executive Producer (Freelance Contract)

An Executive Producer at productionglue loves "big picture" planning & overall project organization. This individual enjoys leading the relationship between the client & internal teams to bring a project to life, on time, on budget, and in accordance with glue's standards. They oversee all aspects from the initial phase of creative conception, all the way through onsite execution. And of course, loves all things about the live event experience!

Location: Remote flexible (office in NYC)

Responsibilities:

• Lead communications between client, internal teams, and event partners to ensure projects are completed on time, in budget & with the client's vision
• Lead the process from initial event inception through event execution and to final reconciliation
• Oversee all elements ranging from design & creative, timelines, programming, staffing, guest experience, etc.
• Lead the internal productionglue operations team to effectively meet profit margins, production standards, and overall company policies
• Lead the internal project team by setting milestones and holding the team to deadlines by delegating and assigning tasks
• Lead and execute the RFP process, offering suggestions for improvement & leading the charge
• Effectively communicate a client's vision & collaborate internally to develop creative concepts & implement clear plans of action to meet brand objectives
• Create and manage budgets ranging from full scale development to pre-defined work to allowances.
• Build timelines, offering suggestions for efficiencies & feasibility
• Oversee or directly create the development of show documents, communication strategy, ground plans & layouts, creative concepts, staffing, onsite security & logistics, transportation, catering, etc.
• Strive for continuous improvement by placing an emphasis on both receiving and giving feedback both with clients and the internal team
• Comfortable working in an office setting, as well as from more rigorous & non-traditional onsite environments
• Have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal & written
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Willingness to jump in to additional onsite support roles as needed outside of primary project
• Have outstanding organizational skills & great attention to detail
• Take the initiative, act responsively, and demonstrate a sense of urgency
• Comfortable multi-tasking & working graciously in a fast-paced environment
• Problem solver with the ability to anticipate challenges & provide sound solutions

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of live event, entertainment, theater, touring concert and/or production experience in scenic or exhibit fabrication
• Fully Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Keynote
• Proficient in communications and project management tools, such as Slack and Google Suite
• Familiarity and willingness to learn project management tools such as; Concur, Box, Airtable
• Significant experience creating budgets, managing them, and maintaining their profit margins
• Ability to juggle many concurrently ongoing conversations & projects
• Excellent knowledge of core event production elements, terms, and process
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours (nights & weekends) as required
• Working knowledge of print process & materials, scenic construction & materials, video production, lighting, theatrical design, and live event production & traffic flow
• Comfortable with domestic travel. International travel possible. (site visits & onsite time- depending on project assignments.)

Weekly Contract Salary Range: $2800-$4500, or applicable project fee
