Fergus Falls- PART TIME TRANSIT DISPATCHER
Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles for daily routes and assignments.
- Monitor routes and adjust schedules to ensure on-time performance.
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and updates.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries from passengers and drivers.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to address vehicle issues.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, coordinating appropriate responses.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and communications.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of dispatch software and systems (e.g., CAD, AVL) is a plus.
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations.
- Flexibility in hours.
Experience: Interest in working with a variety of people. Telephone experience with dispatching duties preferred, but not required.
Skills and Abilities: Must be able to do multiple tasks simultaneously, excellent communication skills, Knowledge of emergency procedures. Ability to build and develop relationships through excellent customer service skills and be a team player. Must possess a valid driver's license.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
