Design/Modeler
Moline, IL - Full Time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Moline, Illinois. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will perform product design and modeling work for projects of limited scope using the preferred 3-Dimensional (3D) Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool and protocols. Technical judgment will be used, but this is considered an entry level design position.
This full-time position is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions, under supervision, to provide feedback and contribute to validation of the design.
- Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to create engineering drawings for the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
- Develop testing standards and procedures under the direction of professional colleagues.
- Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Creo modeling and drafting.
- Knowledge of PDM/Windchill.
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers to create models and drawings.
- Ability to calculate basic tolerance stack ups.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of the dimensioning and tolerancing standard ASME Y14.5.
- Able to follow modeling best practices.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to annotate a model in Creo.
