Embedded Telematics Engineer
Oshkosh, Wisconsin - Full Time
Productive Resources(www.productiveresources.com)is seeking acandidateto be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a Sr Engineer Software team member who will design, implement, and test high-quality vehicle control subsystem software. The team member must be able to write embedded C / C , Matlab autogenerated software to run on embedded platforms that control various vehicle systems through network messaging and directly connected inputs and outputs. The team member will be an integral part of multiple projects and responsible for peer reviewing others software.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with theopportunityof professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties :
- Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks assigned according to Oshkosh, as well as general industry, engineering standards and processes.
- Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods, and / or reporting.
- Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity.
- May be responsible for managing multiple projects.
- Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
- Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians working on a common project.
- Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, object-oriented C software.
- Responsible for quality conscious design including cost and reliability.
- Participate in peer reviews, estimation, and other engineering activities.
- Follow defined CMMI level 3 procedures in the writing of software.
- Use reasonable foresight to identify vehicle operation and maintenance risks and control them within acceptable levels.
- Write requirements and design documentation.
- Ability to travel off-site to support engineering projects.
- Develop detailed requirements and track changes to them.
- Develop comprehensive test plans to verify safety and reliability of electronic systems.
- Conduct testing across multiple platforms, in both simulation and real-world use cases.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical subject matter.
- Develop and peer review software.
- Process engineering information through CMMI level 3 procedures and software safety process.
- Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedures.
- Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
- Establish priorities for work delegated to others.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
