IMS Central Planner
Moline, Illinois - Full Time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Moline, Illinois. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will perform the duties of a Supply management Planner II. Manage the day-to-day performance and relationship of a group of suppliers for several assigned commodities to support factory operations. Work with the Supply Base to drive continuous improvement in quality and delivery.
This full-time position is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Schedule and expedite the delivery of purchased materials to support a production plan, including recommendations for premium logistic alternatives when appropriate.
- Process suppliers’ non-conformances and expedite corrective actions.
- Work with the Supply Management Specialist to maintain an ongoing relationship with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance.
- Support the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process so design changes and product improvements are implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate and execute inventory plans using systems parameters and material replenishment strategies to achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals.
- Coordinate and execute the logistics requirements for the supplier concerning containers, packaging, methods, and parameters; arrange agreements with the supplier on appropriate logistics processes before the start of production.
- Resolve and eliminate shipping and receiving problems to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers.
Requirements:
- 1 or more years of experience working in Supply Management.
- Experience with Purchasing.
- 1 or more years of experience with Supply Management processes, the Requisition to PO process and tools, i.e., JDSN, SAP, SRM, CP.
- 1 or more years of experience with negotiations and conflict resolution.
- 1 or more years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Outlook, Excel, Power Point, One Note.
- The ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- SAP experience is HIGHLY preferred.
