Daytime hours Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM with some flexibility on start and end times
Responsibilities
Load and unload machine tools weighing up to 25,000 lbs using a 3,000 35,000 lb forklift. Unwrap machine, tear down crates and skids and dispose of materials.
Assist with moving machines as requested. Set machine on leveling pads.
Change and add coolant as needed to the showroom machines.
Clean and prep machines for shipment; clean metal chips and coolant, wipe down machine, disconnect electrical and air connections and wrap.
Maintain professional appearance of showrooms at all times, i.e.; clean floor, clean glass, wipe door handles, cabinets, chair rails, etc., ensure trash is emptied, clean walls, fix cracks / paint chips and scuffs.
Monitor safety cabinets, safety glasses and eye wash stations. Monitor marketing and sales brochure stock.
Assist with exterior building maintenance, i.e.; maintain sidewalks, general lawn care, observe overall exterior building condition and repair items as needed, shovel sidewalks and plow snow as needed, maintain pallet storage, etc.
Assist with interior building maintenance; general office cleaning, change light bulbs as needed, help set up for meetings, empty trash & recycle containers, assist with desk moves, etc.
Pick up various facility and office supplies as requested. Assist with deliveries and pick-ups.
Participate in Security Committee; be a contact for Alarm Company and respond to alerts.
Maintain spare vehicles.
Occasionally assist Service department with misc. office duties, i.e. parts inventory, part research with our vendors, assist with returns, etc.
Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required by the position.
Requirements
Knowledge of CNC metalworking equipment - maintenance or machinist experience.
Machine rigging experience helpful.
Current Forklift Certification and at least 2 years experience operating a forklift. Two years general warehouse experience.
Basic building maintenance knowledge.
Valid drivers license, clean driving record & health card (ability to safely operate a 26,000 lb. commercial vehicle).
Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with internal and external customers.
Self-directed. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic computer knowledge.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
Regularly required to; stand, walk, reach above shoulders, use foot / feet to operate equipment; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Ability to tolerate heights while on a ladder and / or aerial lift.
Ability to tolerate outdoor weather conditions while loading / unloading machines.
