We are seeking a technical writer with experience working in manufacturing environments to join our team as a contract technical writer. This is a 3-month hybrid contract position that requires working onsite at least 4 days a week.
About the Position:
In this role, you will work with our engineers to gather information, validate existing documentation, and create new content. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with subject matter experts, including engineers and equipment operators
- Developing systems descriptions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions
- Translating complex information into clear and concise documentation using technical writing best practices
The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, but we will consider applications from candidates knowledgeable about tech writing best practices, dependable, and with strong communication skills.
Requirements:
- Three years of technical writing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with subject matter experts
- Proficiency with MS Word
- Sharp eye for detail and exemplary organizational skills
- Experience with and understanding of equipment and manufacturing processes (a plus)
- Ability to work onsite up to four days per week
- Laptop capable of running Windows 11
