We are seeking a technical writer to work with our engineers on a 3-month hybrid contract. This role is crucial in gathering information to validate existing documentation and create new content. Deliverables may include systems descriptions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, including engineers and equipment operators
- Translate complex information into clear and concise documentation using technical writing best practices
- Develop systems descriptions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions
The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, but we will consider applications from candidates knowledgeable about tech writing best practices, dependable, and with strong communication skills. The ability to drive to the site location once per week, work onsite Monday through Thursday, and drive home Friday is required.
Requirements:
- Three years of technical writing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with subject matter experts
- Proficiency with MS Word
- Sharp eye for detail and exemplary organizational skills
- Experience with and understanding of equipment and manufacturing processes (a plus)
- Ability to work onsite up to four days per week
- Laptop capable of running Windows 11
