Job Title: Contract Technical Writer
We are seeking a skilled technical writer to join our team at ProEdit. The ideal candidate will have experience working in manufacturing or other industrial-type environments and be available to start their next tech writing project immediately.
The successful applicant will work with engineers to gather information, validate existing documentation, and create new documentation. Deliverables may include systems descriptions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills:
- Three years of technical writing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with subject matter experts, including engineers and equipment operators
- Proficiency with MS Word
- Ability to translate complex information into clear and concise documentation using technical writing best practices
- Sharp eye for detail and exemplary organizational skills
- Experience with and understanding of equipment and manufacturing processes is a plus
- Ability to work onsite up to four days per week
- A laptop that can run Windows 11
This is a hybrid contract opportunity, with the possibility of working onsite up to 75% of the time. Travel expenses will be covered.
Please note that this is a 3-month contract, and the ideal candidate will be able to drive to the site location once per week, work onsite Monday through Thursday, and drive home Friday.
