JOB TITLE: Business Administration Intern FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Finance Controller
General Summary:
Looking to make an impact? As a Business Administration Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to experience functional areas from an administrative to a front-line perspective in a new and growing organization. You will work with collaborative cross-functional teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of organizational operations and focus on projects that contribute to the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists in operational activities as directed by the designated department representative under the general supervision of the Finance Controller.
- Shadows and observe strategic contributors and functional experts as they execute the skills needed to lead an organization.
- Spends time with an administrative mentor and attend and take minutes for various meetings, observing different leadership styles.
- Research, delivery and implementation of assigned projects.
- Consults with cross-functional team members to understand their needs.
- Uploads invoices, paperwork, and notes into documentation systems to better align financials and business practices.
- Collects financial data, operational data including warehouse, transportation, and production data from various sources.
- Accurately enters data for statistical accounts and other data needs by the business into the system.
- Reviews a wide scope of operational and business data to perform ad hoc analysis to better drive insights and drive strategic changes to operations.
- Presents periodic project updates to leadership.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. College enrolled student seeking a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 10-15 lbs. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Working Conditions: Standard in-office setting. Computer work. Anticipated hours: 10-20 hours per month.
