Position Summary
The Aero Depot Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, implementing and revising - as needed, the tactical and strategic operations of the Aero Overhaul Depot. This position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices designed to meet or exceed annual projections.
Position Responsibilities
- Consistently improving existing operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the Aero Depot strategy and mission.
- Supporting enhanced communications at all levels, embracing transparent management and business processes, and practicing agile tactical and strategic planning.
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Aero Depot through embracing a ‘best practices’ philosophy focused on improving each operational function, as well as coordinating and communicating between support and business functions.
- Capable of guiding, training, and mentorship of technicians.
- Assuming a co-leadership role with the Aero Depot Manager in long-term planning.
- Developing long-range forecasts and maintaining long-range production plans aligned to those forecasts.
- Attending regular scheduled and impromptu meetings with Aero Depot Manager regarding all operational and/or fiscal matters.
- Contributing to the short and long-term organizational planning and strategy.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of directly related work experience in the energy industry.
- Strong decision making and leadership skills.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to oversee and/or work within a team environment and foster teamwork and trust in both internal and external Aero Depot customers.
- Previous experience developing creative and innovative solutions to business problems of unusual complexity.
- Strong technical competence in the operation of gas turbines, including all aspects of turbine disassembly, transport and relocation, assembly, and operations.
- GE LM2500, LM6000, CF6-6 or CF6-80C2 depot overhaul experience
