The Braze Technician is responsible for performing precision furnace brazing on metal components, interpreting technical documents, and ensuring high-quality joints through inspection and testing. This role involves maintaining brazing equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform furnace brazing on metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure proper assembly.
- Inspect brazed joints for quality and integrity, making necessary adjustments.
- Set up and maintain brazing equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Use appropriate filler pastes, cements and tapes to achieve high-quality bonds.
- Conduct leak testing and quality checks to meet customer specifications.
- Follow safety procedures and wear necessary PPE to prevent hazards.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any defects or issues.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and quality control teams to optimize brazing processes.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent supplemented by one years' experience in furnace or heat-treating operations.
- Reasonable knowledge of work methods, practices and procedures involved in a variety of maintenance and repair activities.
- Understand customer drawings.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong level of accuracy and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to prioritize and adhere to strict deadlines.High level of integrity; ability to handle confidential information.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Familiarity with operation of power tools a plus.
