Position Summary
The Gas Turbine Engineer designs and repairs gas turbine components for LM6000, PE6000, LM2500, etc. This position demands strong technical expertise and a focus on precision engineering for turbine performance and reliability.
Position Responsibilities
- Design and repair gas turbine component for aeroderivative turbines (LM6000, PE6000, LM2500, etc.)
- Design for aeromechanics using Campbell diagrams and considering flow induced vibrations
- Ensure attachments that thermal transients are properly accounting for in the design
- Interface as technical authority with service teams for gas turbine components
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- 0-5 year’s relevant experience
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Technical leadership of a team designing gas turbine component
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems in a logical and effective manner
- Proficient in the use of various MS Office Suite programs.
