Position Summary: Work includes HVAC heating, cooling, boiler, chiller, and refrigeration systems. Applicants should be able to read and understand blueprints, communicate effectively with all other people on the jobsite, including our subcontractors, and represent PAS Contractors in a professional manner. Applicants should also be able to accept direction and/or lead and delegate the work if necessary.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Troubleshoot and solve HVAC rooftop units, make up air, boiler, chiller, and control system problems. VRF system knowledge is a plus.
  • Follows up with customers for quality assurance purposes and ensures customers are 100% satisfied.
  • Acts as the senior technical support for other Service Techs. Can answer most technical questions and help with almost any issue.
  • Attends, if needed, all job site and office meetings related to assigned projects. Is well prepared to handle issues that may come up.
  • Dependable and able to work in emergency situations when called.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Experience/Qualifications Required:

o 10-12 years commercial experience in plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration.

o Stable work history.

o HVAC and brazing license.

o EPA or Universal License.

o Type 2 or Universal Refrigerant License.

o HVAC chiller and boiler certifications are a plus.


  • Job Skills:

o Ability to read blueprints.

o HVAC and refrigeration repair and installation.

o Working knowledge of all hand and power tools.

o Able to use all specialty tools including Recovery Machine, Multi Meter, Combustion Analysis.

o Control experience a plus.

o Able to install equipment.

o Very strong technical background.

o Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.

o Exceptional communication skills.

o Ability to manage, lead, motivate and discipline.

o Excellent organizational skills.


  • Education:

o High School or GED Equivalent.

o Trade School a plus.


  • Physical Requirements:

o Eyesight correctable to 20/50.

o Able to work long hours on feet.

o Able to lift and climb ladders and scaffolds.

o Able to perform shift work.

o Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.

o Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

o Must not be afraid of heights.


  • Special Requirements

o Valid Driver’s License.

o Must provide their own basic hand tools.
