Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of paint spray booths, air make-up systems, vehicle lifts and air compressors. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently at customer locations throughout Utah and Idaho. As a Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive top-notch service and support.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair industrial and automotive shop equipment.
- Keep a DOT Driver Log and use electronic timekeeping system.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working.
- Work on a ladder or scissor lift.
- Be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Conduct field service operations, troubleshooting issues on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Provide technical support and training to clients as needed.
- Ensure knowledge of and compliance with safety regulations while performing duties.
- Operate material handling equipment.
- Drive a forklift and tow a small trailer.
Qualifications
- Completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- 1-1/2 years of related trade school, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in one or more skilled trades: Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electronic controls, gas burners, general construction.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including commercial voltages and 3 phase power, and use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in the field.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for travel to various job sites.
- Provide own basic hand tools (initial tool bonus and ongoing tool allowance provided).
- Certification or training in relevant fields is a plus but not mandatory.
