We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Coordinator for our After-School and Summer Camp programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Spearhead our after-school and summer camp offerings, driving creativity, planning, and execution to ensure high-quality experiences.
- Team Supervision: Manage the after-school leadership team, ensuring a safe, orderly environment. Enforce rules against disruptive behavior and monitor access to facilities.
- Preparation and Organization: Ensure the leadership room remains tidy and organized. Prepare students for class, ensuring they are dressed appropriately and ready to participate.
- Maintenance and Cleaning: Oversee the end-of-shift cleaning tasks, promoting self-discipline among students to maintain cleanliness.
- Snack Coordination: Manage the snack program adhering to safety guidelines to accommodate food allergies. Ensure no sharing of snacks or treats among students.
- Activity Oversight: Direct structured play activities, maintaining safety and decorum. Prevent misuse of furniture and equipment.
- Health and Safety: Respond promptly to any student health concerns by coordinating with the Program Director and contacting guardians.
- Discipline Enforcement: Uphold academy discipline policies as necessary.
- Educational Support: Ensure students complete assigned lifeskill packets, providing guidance as needed.
- Technology Management: Supervise student interaction with technology, ensuring compliance with academy rules regarding internet use and media consumption.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Safe Transportation: Safely transport students from local elementary schools to the academy using provided vehicles.
- Flexible Scheduling: Adapt to variable hours during the school year and summer sessions, including some morning shifts during camps.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in youth education or recreational programs, ages 5-12.- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage groups.- Excellent organizational and communication skills.- Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate multi-passenger vehicles.
Work Hours:
- School Year: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM, with adjustments based on school calendar and camp schedules.- Summer: Variable hours requiring flexibility, including some morning shifts.
