This position is IN OFFICE (not remote) located on Mule Alley in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.
Position Summary/Objective:
PBR is seeking an entry-level graphic/production designer to join our creative team. Reporting to the Sr. Creative Director, this position is responsible for production of a wide range of printed and digital materials. The chosen candidate will work with in-house departments, print and sign shops, and outside vendors to assure production quality and timeliness of project completion. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Apply conceptual thinking and creativity to complex design problems, from conception to production
Adept at design for digital applications
Understands Brand identity and logo development
Design and produce print-ready files for marketing materials including point-of-sale, arena signage, print ads and collateral, out-of-home and more
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Department’s Director, Project Manager, graphic designers, and video editors
- Communicate effectively with other departments when producing collateral
- Ability to distill complex briefs and objectives into single-minded ideas with outstanding creative solutions
- Ability to prioritize, solve and close issues
- Excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Detail-oriented and well organized
- Demonstrates a positive and cheerful attitude
- Ability to multi-task on complex projects
- Comfortable presenting concepts and campaigns to internal decision-makers and senior executives
- Flexible and accommodating to the needs of the team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills a must
- Understanding of proper file format for digital, and print
- Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator technical proficiency
- Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing and resolve any issue that arise
- Provide image retouching, clipping paths, additional image manipulation and prepared for online, mobile, and print applications
- Create PDFs for printers and large format sign machines
- Conduct press checks
- Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time
Education & Formal Training:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Arts preferred
Experience:
- Must have a strong portfolio available in digital format (PDF or link)
Working Conditions:
- This position is located in office. Remote won’t be considered.
- Normal office hours Monday-Friday
- Extended hours may be needed based on business needs
- Travel may also be required
