Correctional medicine is a challenging and exciting opportunity for today’s dental professional, allowing you to truly utilize all your learned skills and knowledge. It is the perfect hybrid of Outpatient and Urgent / Emergency Dentistry, serving an underserved and extremely diverse patient population.
We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Rensselaer County Jail in Troy, NY.
This position only requires up to 8 hours of on-site dental care weekly! Flexible schedule Monday - Friday, during normal business hours.
To quickly highlight some key points :
Hourly compensation is negotiable and commensurate based on experience, rate range is $30-$35 per hour
Company paid malpractice liability insurance (including tail) is provided, &
Part-Time PTO & Sick Leave package included.
Requirements :
Must have either an associate's or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited college or university.
Licensed dental hygienist in the State of New York.
Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to develop a trusting relationship with patients / inmates.
Ability to monitor, observe and document patients.
Salary : $30 - $35
