We are currently seeking a Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Rensselaer County Jail in Troy, NY.
About Our Practice
Correctional medicine presents a unique opportunity for dental professionals to utilize their skills and knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment. As a hybrid of outpatient and urgent/emergency dentistry, we serve an underserved and diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality dental care to patients, including routine cleanings, exams, and fluoride treatments
- Monitor and document patient progress, developing a trusting relationship with each individual
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals as needed
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited college or university
- Licensure as a dental hygienist in the State of New York
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with patients
