Caregiver Role
- Assist with personal hygiene, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
- Support mobility around the house or outside, accompanying clients to appointments and activities.
- Provide personal care and hygiene, prepare meals, and assist with physical therapy exercises.
- Complete client shopping or accompany them to ensure successful completion.
- Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents.
- Act quickly and responsibly in emergency situations.
- Offer essential daily living activities, assisting patients with meals and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a caregiver or personal care assistant, preferably with certification.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) preferred.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform job-related duties.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to act compassionately and supportively.
- Availability to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environments.
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to provide high-quality care and pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
