What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Control - Tinker AFB, OK position at Professional Contract Services, Inc.?
PCSI is looking for a Production Control at Tinker AFB! Perform all aspects involved in processing work orders from the time the vehicles enter the shop until it is released. This can include: opening, closing on/off VDP, updating the status or ETIC date, entering system/subsystem codes accurately on added jobs and verifies repairs against parts tickets to ensure all items are correctly annotated on each work order.
This position will report to the Maintenance Manager and is based at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What You'll Do as Production Control:
- Annotate operator card when repairs are completed.
- Notify VCO when problem arise with vehicles such as accident/abuse releases.
- Notify VCO’s when vehicles are ready to be picked up and maintain a release and accident/abuse log.
- Update status board as required.
- Provide ETIC listings as required by the PWS.
- Verify vehicle data in the computer system.
- Prepare accident/abuse documentation for submission to organizations.
- Take service call requests for breakdowns, flat tires, etc.
- Notify VCO/alternate of any problems related to the service call (such as, not on location, no keys, etc.) document the notification.
- Maintain tools and equipment and clean work areas. Practice good housekeeping tool control, FOD prevention and safety at all times.
- Must use proper telephone and customer service etiquette.
- Perform other associated or related duties as assigned.
- Keep work area clean.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Requires knowledge of PC functions and Software.
- Operation of windows applications, MS Suite and related applications.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and electrical equipment.
- (2) years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequently required to sit and climb or balance.
- Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel. Ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds assisted.
- Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and
ability to adjust focus.
- Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in the various areas of assignment; use of hand and power tools in the construction, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, masonry, welding and plumbing trades; general construction and landscape construction codes; safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to plan, direct, train, oversee and perform skilled maintenance, construction, and repair work in the assigned area; use and maintain common hand tools, small power equipment and other facility equipment.
- Mathematical skills to compute measurements
- Ability to communicate both orally and in written format, including the ability to instruct others in correct maintenance procedures and safe use of materials and equipment.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction and supervision.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
- Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to be on call after hours and handle emergency calls.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance/Secure Area Badge for the assigned job and be flight line qualified (where applicable).
- Must be able to obtain National Agency Check (NAC).
