Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and software applications.
- Design, configure, monitor, and optimize system hardware to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Provide high-level technical support and consulting for network-related issues and projects.
- Conduct performance trend analysis and recommend optimizations for system configuration.
- Administer and secure WAN, LAN, and VPN networks across multiple locations.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including network designs and performance reports.
- Participate in the change management process, evaluating risks and impacts of network modifications.
- Stay current with industry trends in network and security technologies and recommend innovations.
- Respond to network and security incidents promptly and provide on-call support in a 24x7 environment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in:
- VPN protocols (e.g., SSL, IPSEC, DMVPN, ADVPN).
- Routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
- Administration of routers, switches, APs, and firewalls.
- Working with network operating systems such as Junos, Cisco, Dell, and Fortinet.
- Physical datacenter infrastructure and packet analysis tools.
- Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, DNS systems, TCP/IP, and client-server models.
- Proficiency in Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in network/security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM) and troubleshooting in a 24x7 setting.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Strong documentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Must have resided in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years (military or study abroad included).
- Ability to travel as needed to field offices and support locations.
- Certifications in networking/security (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet) are preferred.
Salary : $120,000 - $145,000
